About Our Program

The following are the critical priorities and values to the Berkeley High School Baseball program. These priorities have been selected to best assist our program in achieving its vision.

Academic Excellence – The program values competitive athletic and academic experiences that foster self-esteem, a sense of responsibility, an appreciation for life-long learning, as well as preparing our student athletes to meet the academic guidelines set forth by the NCAA.

Leadership – The program continues its long history of developing leaders and high character individuals in order to assist our players in life after high school.

Integrity – The Program expects our players to exemplify impeccable integrity, and behave as model citizens on campus and in our local communities.

School Tradition – The program is committed to the on-going support and engagement of school traditions, spirit, participation, and the development of intense pride and loyalty for BHS.

Respect for the Individual – the program values diversity in our student athletes, our coaching staff, and our communities. We recognize the need to work as a team while valuing each other’s individual self-worth.

Competition– The Program is focused on maintaining a foundation based on teamwork, hard work, and a lifelong enjoyment for baseball.

“Love is the most important thing in the world, but baseball is pretty good, too.”
